Story Plot Assignment
The setting is Rome, 50-45 bce. When the First Triumvirate ended, Rome’s senate supported Pompey. As Caesar was the military hero and liked amongst all people but the Senate thought otherwise. This historical fiction story will cover the story of Yavi, a Spy of Caesar and his adventures that he unfolds to help Caesar rise to the Senate.
Yavi, is a highly ranked in the Senate and very close to Pompey. Caesar hears around the city of Rome that there is a plot to take him down and take him down hard. Caesar finds this very interesting as he is well liked throughout Rome and decides to find someone that could help him. Caesar comes to Yavi in confidence and money in order to get information of anything that the Senate or Pompey and his friends have planned to take Caesar down. Caesar tells Yavi to go through many obstacles to find more information on the plans the Senate has to take him down. Yavi risks his chair in senate to find more information within the senate to take down Caesar. Yavi faces threats, suspicion, wealth and betrayal.
When Yavi attends the final meeting to take down Caesar he breaks Caesars promise and decides to take the money Caesar has given him and turn his back on Caesar. Despite the trust that Caesar and Yavi had, the Senate persuades Yavi indirectly and Yavi decides to join the take down of Caesar. March 15 BCE, in The Theatre of Pompey, Gaius Cassius Longinus, Marcus Junius Brutus and Yavi Julius Pater assassinate Caesar. In the final scene Caesar looks up at Yavi and asks “why? Why did you betray me?” and Yavi takes the knife and stabs Caesar in the stomach 5 ttimes.
