Percy is a 20
year old man living on top of the Palatine Hill. While not an aggressive
individual, Percy has a warrior’s heart and a love for his nation. Equaling his
love for Rome is only equaled by his love for women; specifically an untamable
drive to find a wife. The son of a blacksmith, Percy learned the ins and outs
of the trade from his father Cassius, but more important than the smith and sword
fighting skills his father taught him, Percy took the value of finding his
perfect woman to heart, and made it an immediate objective. Cassius made
learning to fight a daily priority with Percy, however he had his soft side
which gave his son an inner conscience second to none. On the day that Percy
crafted his first very own sword, his father Cassius told him, “No matter how
quick nor brutal you are with the blade, only the fiery love brought on by your
divine lover can make you into a true Roman warrior.”
While both his mother and father had
passed away years ago, Percy made it along as a laborer at a blacksmith in the
Forum. On a trip down to the Forum to purchase food, Percy will see what it
truly means to be a man. After he lays his eyes on the most beautiful woman
he’s ever seen, Percy attempts to speak with her, but she is quickly abducted
by two masked men. The crowds of the Forum deny Percy the opportunity to give
chase, but he does recover one clue that will lead him down a path of
conspiracy and blackmail that threatens the only thing that Percy loves almost
as much as his unnamed beauty: Rome. That little bit of evidence? An elegant
but jagged dagger, held only by esteemed members of the political elite in
Rome. Percy will have to discover who is at the center of the kidnapping, and
why such a beautiful and innocent woman is a part of the madness to ensue. A
coming to terms with the country he loves and the woman of his dreams for Percy
has the fate of Rome’s peaceful society in his young hands.
