Horatio wakes up early morning before dawn to tend the cattle and chickens that need to be fed. His master Julius has ordered him to collect the milk and eggs from the animals. As he heads to milk the cattle his feet soak in the moist soil, he gathers a metal cylinder to collect the milk and a ceramic bowl for the eggs. Once he completes that task he needs to pick up some ingredients from the Forum Boarium. As Horatio stands on top of Palatine Hill he observes the beautiful glare on the Tiber River from the sunrise. On his way down to the Forum Boarium he admires the beauty in the architecture that his ancestry has created. As he approaches his destination he decided to go into the Temple of Vesta and pray to the Gods for giving him and his family a healthy life. As he continues to the market and the Horrea he comes across many people he knows. Horatio encounters many wealthy masters, who scold him and harass him. As he approaches the river he finds his favorite market where he decides to buy the bread, wine, and corn. He then goes to the Horrea where he is ordered to buy two pounds of beef. As he gathers all his ingredients he hurries all the way back up to Palatine Hill. He needs to be back in town to make breakfast for his master.
