The Solution
Julia, a beautiful Roman girl was not going to give up her love that easily for Plautus. All these months she tried getting away from the negativity of her parents of not wanting to see her with the boy Plautus. She thought about him more and loved him more every day. Plautus had been gone for a long time now, almost eight months. He was sent with another family far from Julia’s palace. Her parents did not want him any where near her. They thought that by sending their slave away, then their daughter will not run the risk of marrying Plautus and live a poor life since Julia was accustomed to live with really high luxurious things.
Julius Cesar and his wife Pompeia started to notice that Julia was not doing so well. Even when they had given her permission to go out with her friends and do things she was not allowed to do before was not enough to keep her happy. Julia was not doing well. Everyday she would go to sleep crying, she wouldn’t eat, and at times she would not even mention a word to her parents. Julia started getting sick because she was not taking care of her body. She felt she did not have a reason as to why take care of herself when she could not live a happy life.
Julia’s parents did not want to put their daughter at risk anymore but they also did not want to see her with Plautus, a slave that did not have any sort of money to take care of Julia. They wanted the best for their daughter and one thing they did not want was for their daughter to live a mediocre life. Julia had to marry someone with lots of money; she was to stay within the same social class. Julia’s parents decided to bring Plautus back and so they had to wait what was to come for Julia. Of course they disliked the idea of Julia being in love with Plautus but they also did not want to see die their only beautiful child die. Plautus came back to the palace, Julia saw him and her eyes just brightened up.
