Introduction of Characters- 45/44 BCE

Introduction of character: Clodia Minor was a slave, who had been sold into the prostitution industry at a very young age. She had spent most of her life living in the brothels alienated from the rest of the world. In this process she acquired a decreased sense of personal identity and had lost control of her own behavior.
-Scene: Clodia, a pale and tall young woman with delicate features, stood nude at the brothel. Once she had entered her empty cell, she took her stand and exposed her fragile and slender body. It was here that she graciously received her clients; asking from each his price. She had grown graciously in love with one of her clients, but her status made her the subject of humiliation. Each night she remained the very last before closing her cell with the hope that one day her nightmare would be over.
Introduction of character: Aulus Julius Gracchus a thin-lipped and wealthy ambitious old man, was extremely good at getting what he desired. He would often take advantage of his submissive wife and would exploit his own servants. Every night, Aulus would gather his belongings and escape the second his wife closed her eyes.
-Scene (how he views this woman): As for her carelessness in concealing herself, she met up continuously with him at the balcony of his house. She haunted his steps day and night and showered him with attention. At last, his wealth seemed to move into the hands of the other.
She now had everything she ever longed for. Although, a moment of weakness she would not receive any considerations being that she was merely, a prostitute, and should not be given any affection.
Clodia, however, enjoyed every minute she was wrapped around his arms….
