Julius Cesar (Dictator): A reigning power of Rome, fighting Civil Wars around the world before returning to Rome to claim his position of Dictator for Life. Cesar sees himself as the absolute power of Roman and stubbornly refuses to give up his position despite what his wife and fellow senators tell him. The strong Politian wears atoga praetexta with a purple border and shoes or calceīs to show his class.
Quintusio (Politician): A 23-year-old senatorial class male, campaigning the city of Rome in opposition of Julius Cesar’s dictatorship. Paterfamilia of his family, Quintusio is very protective of his daughter, Lithiana mostly due to the loss of his two sons, one at infancy and one at age 5. He wears an iron ring from his marriage to Lithiana’s mother. Quintusio is in rather good health but fears we will die before he sees Cesar out of power.
Lithiana (Quintusio’s daughter) A 14-year-old, senatorial class female, beautiful and very intelligent yet cooped up inside her home atop Palatine Hill. Lithiana often sits at her window daydreaming of a different life, a life in the city. As far as dress goes, she mostly wears a tunic with a thick stripe on either side and leather bounded sandals or soleaes as she is inside most of the time. When Lithiana does go out she wears a shawl or palla as to be sure she is well covered. She owns no jewelry yet hopes to receive a beautiful iron ring with a shining jewel upon her marriage.
Octavio (Quintusio’s apprentice): A 18-year-old, equestrian male, young and ambitious has just completed level III education at the private school. He has shown interest in politics since he begun his education at age 8 and is now an apprentice for a senatorial Politian. With his polite and driven personality, Quintusio wishes for him to ask for Lithiana’s hand in marriage. Octavio will do whatever it takes to get to the senatorial class and into a governmental position of power.
Fabius (Lithiana’s love interest): A 16-year-old young man of the plebian class who has just returned from a civil war battle fought in the name of Cesar. He wears a torn toga covered in dirt and worn half-boots or caligaes of the stoutest possible make. He has a strong build and deep eyes. Since Fabius is of a lower class he was never able to attend private schooling but instead has learning everything he knows from experience. He has nothing to his name and cares very little of moving up in class.
